On the morning of June 20, Minister Lu Hao of the Tianjin Council for the Promotion of International Trade led a delegation of Tianjin business representatives participating in the 2026 China Brand Products Exhibition (Central and Eastern Europe) to visit the Budapest office of MuHua Qingyan’s European branch for an inspection and research tour. Hosted by the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of China’s Ministry of Commerce, the China Brand Products Exhibition (Central and Eastern Europe) serves as a vital bridge for deepening economic and trade cooperation between China and the CEE countries. It not only facilitates the international expansion of Chinese brands but also features a China–Hungary trade matchmaking session, helping high‑quality Hungarian and CEE products gain access to the Chinese market. Moreover, the event aligns strategically with China’s Belt and Road Initiative and Hungary’s “Opening to the East” policy. During this visit, stakeholders engaged in in-depth, comprehensive exchanges and discussions on practical measures for Chinese enterprises to strengthen their presence in Central and Eastern Europe and expand into overseas European markets.
During the research and exchange session, Mr. David Kim, General Manager of Muhua Qingyan responsible for European market operations, extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation. Drawing on the company’s years of hands-on experience in the European market, Mr. Kim provided a comprehensive overview, systematically outlining Muhua Qingyan’s global overseas market strategy, its localized operational framework, and the evolution of its brand‑expansion journey. Addressing key issues facing companies venturing abroad—such as European market access regulations, strategies for navigating international trade barriers, and leveraging local resources—he shared practical insights gained from pioneering the European market. He also candidly reviewed the challenges, bottlenecks, and lessons learned along the way, offering participating enterprises highly valuable, actionable guidance for entering and succeeding in the European marketplace.
The seminar and exchange session lasted more than two hours, featuring lively on‑site interactions in a warm, efficient atmosphere. Participating business leaders, drawing on the current state of their industries and their overseas expansion plans, actively posed questions and engaged in in‑depth discussions, pinpointing the key challenges and pain points in entering the Central and Eastern European markets. All parties shared and learned from each other’s experiences, fostering a common understanding and strengthening collaborative momentum.
The delegation highly commended and unanimously praised Muhua Qingyan’s enterprising spirit—its deep roots in the European market, its courage to break down barriers, and its proactive pursuit of overseas opportunities. Leveraging the economic and trade exchange opportunities presented by the Central and Eastern European Expo, this fact-finding mission has established an efficient and seamless platform for government–enterprise and enterprise–enterprise dialogue, helping Tianjin‑based companies accurately identify European market prospects while effectively mitigating overseas operational risks. This initiative lays a solid foundation for more Chinese brands to capitalize on the policy dividends of China–Hungary cooperation, deepen their presence in Central and Eastern Europe, and steadily advance their internationalization strategies, thereby building momentum for long-term growth.
